After an absence of more than 15 years from the lawns of the Apeccam Football Association (AFA), the Union Bank of Cameroon football team marked its return to the competition in 2023. It was an eagerly-awaited return that brought enthusiasm, team spirit and shared pride.
During this first season back, the players showed determination and commitment. Although their adventure came to an end in the knockout phase, with a respectable 3rd place in their group, the team showed promising signs, laying the foundations for an ambitious sporting project.
In 2024, UBC has come back stronger, more united and better prepared. From the start of the championship, the results were clear to see. With a remarkable run of 4 wins, 1 draw and just 1 defeat, the team dominated its group and finished top of the table, validating its ticket for the next phases.
With the play-offs just around the corner, the UBC team is approaching this new stage with renewed confidence, buoyed by the unfailing commitment of its players and the strong support of its top management. Each match reflects a collective ambition: to write a glorious new page in the bank’s sporting history. All the signs are green for a happy future, punctuated by deserved victories and performances that will carry the colours of Union Bank of Cameroon high. More than a comeback, UBC is enjoying a sporting renaissance.

On May 1st, Union Bank of Cameroon employees proudly joined the rest of the world in celebrating Labour Day.
The day began with a parade, in the presence of the region’s administrative authorities and our General Management. A moment of pride and celebration, where the team spirit and commitment of our employees were highlighted.
The party then moved to a local hall, where colleagues and guests gathered to share a convivial moment, celebrate collective successes, and honor the Bank’s pioneers – those loyal collaborators since the creation of our institution.
The celebration included inspiring speeches by staff delegates and General Management, the presentation of prizes to the winners of the competition organized for the occasion, and the Celebration of employees with 25 years’ seniority, with the award of diplomas
It was a great party!

On 29 January, the conference room of the Best Western Hotel played host to the Union Bank of Cameroon’s strategy meeting for the year 2025. Throughout the day, members of the management team and representatives of each department outlined their strategies for moving the bank towards greater prosperity. The fruitful discussions laid the foundations for significant actions that will enhance both the visibility and profitability of our illustrious institution, which has been in business for many years and is looking to a promising future.

On 31 December, the staff of UNION BANK OF CAMEROON Plc. gathered in a convivial and festive atmosphere to celebrate the end of a year rich in achievements. The end-of-year cocktail party, held on the company’s premises, brought together management and staff for a moment of sharing.

During the event, the Managing Director, Ms Kouecheu Charlotte, took the floor to address a message to all staff. In her speech, full of pride and gratitude, she expressed her deep appreciation for the commitment and dedication of every member of staff throughout the year.

She also shared her vision for the year ahead, stressing the importance of continuing to innovate, collaborate and strive for excellence. ‘The year ahead will bring new challenges, but also new opportunities. Together, we will continue to write the history of Union Bank of Cameroon with enthusiasm and ambition’, she added.

After this motivating speech, lively discussions and laughter punctuated the evening, strengthening the bonds between colleagues.

This end-of-year cocktail party was a highlight, reminding us of the importance of celebrating collective successes while looking to the future with determination and optimism.

Together, the bank’s staff are ready to embark on a new year under the banner of #prosperity.
