Labour day celebration 2024

On May 1st, #UBC staff joined the rest of the world in celebrating #Labour #Day. It was a day to celebrate the year’s efforts, performances, and achievements under the theme: “Constructive social dialogue: A factor in the promotion of decent work and social progress”.
The day commenced with a parade in the cities of Douala and Yaoundé, during which staff shone with the beauty of their outfits, their poise at every step, and the discipline and honor of wearing the bank’s colors. The festivities continued in various party venues rented for the occasion, to share the joy of a job well done. Reviews of the past year, speeches by staff delegates and senior management, and competitions on the history of the bank with prizes to be won were the main highlights of the early part of the celebration. Although the party did not last all evening because of the next day’s work, everyone enjoyed the dance steps in a spirit of conviviality, without distinction of rank or status.

It was a great party!
