Union Bank of Cameroon Plc last Saturday August 22, 2009 held its 8th Annual General Meeting in the seaside town of Limbe, precisely at Fini Hotel, during which the bank’s 2008 accounts were discussed an approved.
This meeting, being the first of its kind after the partnership agreement with Oceanic Bank International, saw the attendance of at least 96% of the shareholders. The meeting that was sort of a trustworthy relationship building experience equally gave the historic shareholders the opportunity to meet and know who their new management team was consisted of. |

Following a recent change of Management at the helm of Oceanic Bank International Plc, Mr. John Aboh was appointed as the new Group Managing Director and Chief Executive in replacement of Dr Mrs Cecilia Ibru.
His appointment by the Central Bank of Nigeria was accompanied with an injection by the latter of N100 billion to ease the bank’s liquidity constraints. The new CEO has reassured all customers of the bank that normal banking transactions would be available across the bank’s 350 locations in the country without any interruption as the workforce would equally continue with regular customer services. |
