 The Cameroon Cooperation Credit Unions League – CamCCUL – last Saturday October 17, 2009 held celebrations to mark the 61st International Credit Union Day which, incidentally, was also the 41st anniversary of CamCCUL. This is in line with the initiative developed 61 years ago by the world council of credit unions (WOCCU) which set aside the second Thursday of the month of October to celebrate and recognize members’ efforts in developing the rural masses through regular financial assistance.

 In line with the bank’s core values which include amongst others, merit and service excellence, the institution has also made it a duty to contribute positively to the environment it operates in, which is also in line with the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy.
Mindful of the fact that the youths of today are the leaders of tomorrow, Union Bank with its interest in nation building is thus contributing firmly to ensure a stronger Cameroon. It is in this light that management welcomed some close to 50 students of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) on October 13, 2009 in the bank’s conference room.

This solution enables the bank to meet the challenges of managing change, competition and customer demands effectively.
